Shirui Iris is newly discovered species of Iris which
has not been botanically named yet. It was found in June 2018, blooming
on the Shirui hill in Manipur, which is home to the
Shirui Lily. The plant looks similar to
Roof Iris and
Red Flower Iris, but the flowers somewhat
resemble Watt's Iris. Leaves are
lanceshaped, typically not longer than the flowering stem, a feature
which clearly distinguishes it from Watt's Iris. Found flowering in
early June.
